Javier. Aprendieron un nuevo método con éste. Un amigo que sabe de Photoshop (yo sólo soy un principiante) me sugirió que tomara un fondo que no era borrosa y el uso de Photoshop para darle el aspecto de la falta de definición de la velocidad. Una idea tan sencilla, buena! Hasta ahora me había estado buscando disparos reales con velocidad borroso, pero ahora sé cómo hacer eso creo que voy a hacer que todos mis coches deportivos y de carreras. Pero a veces un diorama muy bonita y tranquila con un coche aparcado en algún lugar, con alguien que admira, es una cosa mucho más agradable a la vista.
(Por ejemplo un largo post en Google Traductor. ¿Quién sabe qué errores tontos que he hecho esta vez!)

Javier. Learnt a new method with this one. A friend who really knows Photoshop (I am just a beginner) suggested that I take a background that was not blurred and use Photoshop to give it the look of the blur of speed. Such a simple, good idea! Until now I had been looking for real shots with speed blur, but now I know how to do that I think I will do that will all my sporting and racing cars. But sometimes a beautiful, quiet diorama with a car parked somewhere, with someone admiring it, is a much nicer thing to look at.

Hello again, this farmyard scene uses a 1:32 Piaggio Ape (by Hachette) and a 1:43 Renault R4 Pickup poultry farmer model modified by French diorama maker/seller Daniel Lardon.
Movie fans might recognise the farmer on the right, Yves Montand, and the driver of the Piaggio, CW Moss from Bonnie & Clyde. Not sure who the fat farmer in the middle is, but he is from the French film 'Manon des Sources'.

Hola de nuevo, esta escena de corral utiliza un Piaggio Ape 01:32 (por Hachette) y 01:43 Renault R4 modelo de recogida de aves de corral agricultor modificada por el fabricante francés diorama / vendedor Daniel Lardon.
Los aficionados al cine puede reconocer el agricultor a la derecha, Yves Montand, y el conductor del Piaggio, CW Moss de Bonnie & Clyde. No está seguro de que el agricultor de grasa en el medio es, pero él es de la película francesa "Manon des Sources".

Nice and interesting shot. It´s difficult to combine modelcars of different scales in one photo. Have you reduced the 1/32 Piaggio by means of PhotoShop, or is it an effect of the perspective? I have that R4 pick-up, without the cages.

Javier, gracias por tu comentario. Fotografié la Piaggio y Renault por separado (en el mismo camino a partir de papel de lija de arena salpicada en él), entonces ellos combinados en Photoshop con capas. He cambiado los tamaños relativos de los dos coches (y el pueblo, que son de "Manon des Sources" de la película francesa) muchas veces. Mi mujer pensó que el Piaggio es demasiado pequeño, pero es un vehículo pequeño, y es en el fondo, también. Pero mi esposa es diseñadora gráfica y artista, y yo soy un humilde trabajador con palabras, y no un artista en todo. Tal vez tiene razón?

Javier, thanks for your comment. I photographed the Piaggio and the Renault separately (on the same road made from sandpaper with sand sprinkled on it) then combined them in Photoshop using Layers. I changed the relative sizes of the two cars (and the people, who are from the French movie 'Manon des Sources') many times. My wife thought the Piaggio is too small, but it is a small vehicle, and it is in the background, too. But my wife is a graphic designer and artist, and I am a humble worker with words, and not an artist at all. Maybe she is right?

As soon as I bought this 1:43 Franklin Mint model of a 56 Ford Thunderbird, I thought a classic diner diorama would be the way to go. To balance out the photo with the fit and healthy young things dancing in foreground, I thought I'd add a bit of trouble brewing in the background: a lad named Johnny, looking for trouble, stands behind his Vincent Black Shadow (1:24 model by IXO), watching the young girl strut her stuff. The other cars came with the original photo, and they aren't models of mine, but I wouldn't mind having either, come to think of it.

Here's a Cord 810 Phaeton parked outside a filling station in the 1930s, with glamorous passenger, film star Jean Harlow. The model is a 1:43 by IXO.
A whole new world of Photoshopped diorama possibilities has opened up with this one, as I have managed to teach myself the basics of how to colourise a black and white photo. There are precious few suitable colour images from the older eras to use as backdrops for photo dioramas, but lots of black and white ones. This method works well, but colourising the photos takes three times as long as doing the dioramas in Photoshop!

Hello, five new images for you. Four are dioramas and the fifth is something which I have also done in Photoshop, but is not a diorama. The theme is Fiat Abarth speed record cars on the banked circuit at Monza.

And the final photo is a real one from 1958, of the Pininfarina car, to show how small they were. This is a black and white photo which I have converted to colour in Photoshop. Sorry if the colours are not correct everywhere, as I have no real colour images of the time to work from.

Después de haber llegado recientemente a través de un modelo de Trax 1:43 de 1.960 FB Holden Ute en Golden Fleece librea estación de servicio, entonces me fui en busca de un adecuado establecimiento del Vellocino de Oro a la base de un diorama sobre. Having recently come across a 1:43 Trax model of a 1960 FB Holden Ute in Golden Fleece Service Station livery, I then went looking for a suitable Golden Fleece establishment to base a diorama on. The best I could find was an old black and white photo, so I have spent several hours colourising that shot, before adding extras such as the FB Ute, the FB sedan (a cheap 1:64 model), the mother and son, and the old guy in the overalls.
This old Golden Fleece service station was in the Sydney suburb of Auburn, which has changed so much that it now has the most magnificent mosque in Sydney, a huge landmark you can see from a long way away. Needless to say, the best Turkish food is found here, too.

Hello, and Merry Christmas to you all! Long time since my last diorama, as I have been travelling and doing many other things. Here is another diorama for you from Australia (hello Javier!). It is 1965, and a successful young man has just bought a new AP6 Chrysler Valiant Regal, and he is taking his pretty girlfriend out for the night. He stops off at a milk bar to buy cigarettes, but he also wants to make the other boys there feel jealous. He succeeds!

Hola y Feliz Navidad a todos! Pasado mucho tiempo desde mi último diorama, como heestado viajando y haciendo muchas otras cosas. Aquí hay otro diorama para vosotros desde Australia (Hola Javier!). Es 1965, y un hombre joven y exitoso acaba de comprarun nuevo AP6 Chrysler Valiant Regal, y que se está llevando a su novia bonita para la noche. Él se detiene en un bar de la leche para comprar cigarrillos, pero también quiere que los otros chicos no sentir celos. Sucede en el cargo!

Acabo de comprar un modelo de Brumm de 1959 Jack Brabham GP de Mónaco del clímax ganar Cooper, y así fui en busca de una foto de él, como parte de la creación de un diorama. En cambio, me encontré con una foto tan buena que decidí en lugar de tener un ir en volver a crear la propia foto. El original todavía está lejos mucho mejor, pero fue divertido intentarlo. Al menos descubrí que mi modelo de Brumm está bastante cerca del coche original.

Just bought a Brumm model of Jack Brabham's 1959 Monaco GP winning Cooper Climax, and so I went looking for a photo of him, as part of creating a diorama. Instead, I found a photo so good that I decided instead to have a go at re-creating the photo itself. The original is still far far better, but it was fun trying. At least I discovered that my Brumm model is fairly close to the original car.
