Hello my friends
Tonight my wife Pam and I are going to the opening night of a major art exhibition where she, plus half a dozen other artists, are all exhibiting 31 works each, which they painted during the 31 days of July (talk about hard work - 31 paintings in 31 days!). Naturally enough the exhibition is called.... "31 Days". Pam chose as her theme the plant called Spanish moss, which drapes from trees like ghostly vapours and is so prevalent throughout the Southern States of the USA. So, inspired by her choice of plant, I decided to do a Spanish moss themed diorama at the same time.
The picnickers have driven in their 1957 Studebaker Silver Hawk to a spot in Natchez, Mississippi. Pam and I visited an historic mansion and plantation property in Natchez in late 2011, which is where I took the photo which serves as the background for the diorama.
