Autobahn, autopista en alemán. La primera publicación de la canción (en 1974) dura más de veinte minutos. Intenta (y consigue) reproducir las sensaciones y ritmos que se sienten al conducir por una autopista.

Y para ilustrar el tema, cinco miniaturas dedicadas a proveer servicios en las autopistas. Primero un par de guisvales "Servicio Autopista":

¿Por qué les daría por este tipo de servicio en esa época a los miniaturistas?

Por cierto, el STOP en el capó del R18 es para sacar las panderetas lo menos...

El vídeo es una versión en directo que no llega a los nueve minutos. A parte de por la música, es interesante porque salen muchísimas imágenes de vehículos de varias décadas en las proyecciones del concierto.

Yo creo que la época “de moda” de las autopistas en España fueron los finales de los setenta y principios de los ochenta, quizá de ahí venga tanto modelito a escala. Las autovías vinieron más tarde…

Después de treinta años, el año pasado Surfin´Bichos sacó nuevo disco. Una de sus canciones se llama Lotus Europa, y creo entender que hace referencia al coche, usándolo como metáfora.

Aprovechando que hace unos días @je7sietes me dejó ver una foto del 2CV que iba a restaurar (y que acaba de colgar en su hilo de restauraciones), se me ocurrió restaurarlo también a mi manera para hacer una entrada sobre un género que puso patas arriba el mundillo guitarrero.

Pues sí, Moroder por Giorgio, el prácticamente inventor del euro disco.

Más fotos y el porqué de su apellido en la trasera del coche, en mi hilo principal.



Daft Punk en su disco "Random Access Memories", con la canción "Giorgio by Moroder" hizo un homenaje al productor en el que él mismo contaba su historia. El vídeo es una versión orquestal en directo del tema con el mismo Moroder contando esa historia, perteneciente a un concierto en el que fue homenajeado.

# 52 Artista. The Monkees. Monkeemobile (2)

No es que haya dos Monkeemobiles distintos, es que es la segunda vez que cuelgo una repro de ese coche.

Si la otra, la de Husky, era coetánea a las primeras reposiciones de la serie, esta ha sido una sorpresa (al menos para mí), porque Johnny Lightning la saco el año pasado. ¿Debe tener éxito la serie aún por yanquilandia o simplemente es nostalgia de algún directivo?



El vídeo es de la canción que abría el lp en el que decidieron tocar ellos todos los instrumentos, componer y tal y tal. Y no está mal!

Por cierto, la de Husky mola más, que tieme las figuritas de los "artistas".

El Monkeemobile es un icono de la TV americana, era tan protagonista de la serie como los propios Monkees. No me extraña que lo sigan reeditando.

Por mi parte no tengo mucho a 1:64, pero lo poco que tengo, curiosamente, tiene que ver con la música que es otra de mis pasiones. Trasteando por internet hace tiempo me encontré con esta miniatura en una página española a precio irrisorio (y parecía que era la única disponible en el mundo que no estaba en las habituales subastas), es parte de una colección que sacó Greenlight con vehículos relacionados con Elvis. Siendo el Rey mi número 1, tenía que hacerme con ella:

Ford F-100 de 1954 de Greenlight, réplica de la furgoneta que conducía Elvis en su primer trabajo como electricista antes de irrumpir como eighteen wheeler en una cristalería en la escena musical):

Por cierto, la cita de Elvis del reverso no tiene precio "La ambión es un sueño con motor V8":

Evidentemente, ésta no la saco del blíster...
