This neat little gadget has been designed by the well known designer Björn Alskog. Björn Alskog designed also other Volvo toys for other well known companies.

This Volvo PV544 is made of a metal base a plastic body. The model is 70mm long, weights 70gr and is available in the following standard colors : black, maroon red, midnight blue and white. The price for one model is 12,86 €. But you can also profit from the offer : Buy one and get two.

They have done - just for fun - four special decorated models:

• black with golden radiator and key-chain
• white with golden radiator and key-chain
• midnight blue with golden radiator and key-chain
• carbon-look with regular key-chain

None of these four one-off versions will however be produced for the public.

Among the brands made by Drammens Is were Gullkrone, Kjempe-Yes, Hip, Hawaii, Mr. Yankee, Break, Luksuspinne, Kjempe-Nuggi, Sjokoladepinne, Banansplit, Twin, Kokosboller and På Minuttet. After large economic losses on the Norwegian ice cream market, Nestlé closed down its Norwegian ice cream division in 2005. At the same time Diplom-Is AS took over the marketing and distribution of Nestlé's international ice cream brands in Norway while the former Drammens Is brands disappeared from the marketplace

Neo Scale Model has released its third Volvo 242 Turbo model. The latest is an exclusive model for the German web-shop Modelcarworld.de and is limited to 300 units and available under item # 174805 for 59.95 € plus S&H.
The silver car wears the number 20 and comes in the colors of the German team Kissling Motorsport. The car was driven in the 1985 DTM season by Heinz-Friedrich Peil. This was in fact a private car with no support from Volvo : Peil built up the car and Kissling Motorsport did the engine tuning. They used however the 4-door version because it was too difficult to get the 2-door shell. This was the only Volvo 240 4-door used as a race car.

The 1:43 white metal model has not been announced earlier. It has been exclusively produced for Rob Eddie in Sweden and only he and the Dutch shop Model Cars Bergselaan are selling this model. It is available for 89 € under item number RE35x for 89 €. This model is limited to 130 units. It is a new body with an even longer wheelbase as the hearse which has been produced a few years back.

The folks at Brooklin Models had even to design larger boxes because of the size of the ambulance. Brooklin Models has started a whole new line of ambulance models. Most are of course of American origin. Click here to see the various designing and production steps of an iconic model.
